Responsible for development and corporate oversight/support of the fire protection program for operations at approximately 170 facilities throughout the US and the Caribbean, including the largest petroleum products terminal in the Western hemisphere - at Freeport, Grand Bahama. Manage multi-million dollar fire protection program budget. Developing basis-of-design and design details for new facilities and upgrades to existing facilities as well as corporate philosophies and standards for fire protection systems and system inspection, testing and maintenance. Initiated a program and task force to integrate green alternatives to existing firefighting foam systems throughout the company. Conducting acceptance testing of new fire protection systems, assessing existing facilities and working with colleagues to develop a company-wide fire preplanning program. Upfitted a gently used quick attack truck with large monitor and bumper turret capabilities to handle range of emergencies for major marine terminal/tank farm facility in St. Lucia, West Indies. Developed alternative strategies for accomplishing fire safety objectives avoiding hundreds of thousands of dollars of capital expenditures
