Manages and develops the Equipment Maintenance Branch functions to meet contractual requirements while maintaining a safe working environment. Manages the maintenance aspects of armament, electrical and environmental, fuels, egress, avionics, electronic warfare and accessories including subsystems to meet contractual requirements. Balances maintenance labor availability and volume requirements throughout branch function. Ensures all safety policies and procedures are implemented and observed, and that equipment and work areas are well maintained. Provides management guidance and control for efficient utilization of assigned human resources, performance, morale and overall welfare. Delegates authority and responsibility to assigned staff to ensure that each department works toward maximum potential. Determines proper maintenance procedures to repair and return systems and components to maximum efficiency. Recommends short and long-range staffing plans based on contract objectives and forecasted volume requirements to upper management. Studies schedules and estimates manpower and equipment requirements for completion of job assignment. Ensures compliance with company policies and procedures and other practices set forth by upper management directives. Interprets inspection findings and determines corrective action.
