Gaard Development is partnering with owners of underutilized real estate in the Greater Seattle community to develop new units of affordable workforce housing.We opened the Louisa Hotel in 2019 with the Woo family in the Chinatown International District of Seattle, restoring an historic landmark building and providing 84 units of affordable housing. We opened the Nook at Northaven in 2025 with Northaven Senior Living in the Northgate area of Seattle to provide 89 units of affordable housing in a multi-generational campus. We are also partnering with Refugee Women’s Alliance to provide affordable childcare on the first floor.
