ABOUT GREG FARRELL
A professional engineer holding electrical and mechanical degrees as well as dual engineer Chartership. Experience attained of operational, project development and execution, and asset management and integrity roles. As an Asset manager, involvement in the development of a range of internal, UK wide, and response to global policy development (including aspects of suite). Development of O&M principals and reviews, including implementing changes that achieved significant whole life value savings through the introduction of Reliability Centred Maintenance and Risk Based Maintenance programmes. As a project development and execution professional, responsibility held for the delivery of some of National Grid’s highest profile projects, and through capital delivery role responsibility held for a regulatory spend of some £200m. A deep understanding of the all aspects of grid connection schemes and infrastructure projects. Operational management of St Fergus North Sea Gas Terminal undertaken (processing of up to 38 million cubic metres of gas daily), including the management of all equipment, the issue and control of all permitry on site, and while acting as site controller. An experienced manager and leader of teams (through significant change) developed through direct line management, and through the management of virtual teams.
