About Greg Eckstein

I’m a leader, expert in upstream marketing, solution and product management, marketing process excellence, and program execution. I’ve led and motivated product management and marketing program teams in medical devices, healthcare IT, and enterprise networking for over 20 years-Launched new web-based Capsule Surveillance product, an FDA Class II device for monitoring and for curation and distribution of smart alerts to mobile, frontline caregivers- Igniting collaboration across business units and service organizations to deliver solution value propositions, requirements, and marketing strategy in my role as Solutions Director- Captained cohesive teams and posted strong engagement scores as the product management leader for the >100 million dollar Patient Monitoring Systems business at Philips. Over six years, drove a strong roadmap and grew market share most years, adding further distance between us at #1 and the competition- Helmed the redesign of our healthcare global market introduction process, working with colleagues in lighting and consumer products to devise a successful, unified process for both B2B and B2C- Orchestrated the first live, interactive, eLearning product launch program, putting SMEs in front of a global Sales audience, reducing cost, increasing compliance, and extending reach- Represented a billion-dollar unit of Philips as a charter member of our global product security council, defining the first corporate guidelines for product security risk assessment and management and raising product security from a passing concern to mandatory attention. My main MO is as a collaborator, often being a go-to person for thoughtful situation analysis and constructive commentary. I am diplomatic, respectful and inclusive, frequently bringing parties together from distant viewpoints. I’m calm under pressure. And I approach a challenge as an optimist. I keep the customer first, creating solution offers based on solid value propositions, and delivering a whole experience, not just a product or a service. And I believe there is nothing like hearing the customers’ own words-especially if they are disappointed.
