About Greg Dowdell
If you had told me when I was 18 that I was going to be a sales professional living in a land locked state I would have laughed. Life can take you take places you never thought you would go. I have been the youngest of 4 boys for the last 30 years. With that came a lot of competitiveness and responsiveness. I have always been one to listen and take feedback well. My 3 brothers were some of my first coaches. Through sports and work I have expanded on the number of coaches I have and am open to more. I invested in myself by purchasing a multi-family investment property. It was built in 1910 and lived in one unit while making different mistakes on renovations to the house. Still one of the better decisions I\'ve made for myself and I look forward to the next one. Just as in sales, I look to take those wins and losses forward. When I joined Schneider Electric I knew nothing about networking and data center systems. Through their training and trial by fire I have gotten to where I am today. I progressed from selling hardware to a field software role. Today, I\'m working to hone my personal brand of selling and educating myself on better ways to sell. In work building trust has enabled me to help customers through difficult situations. I\'m a firm believer is saying what you do and doing what you say. I am passionate about my customers and solving their problems. One of the better feelings is when a customer communicates back the value of your software when they deploy it. I wish I had a better saying than \"It\'s like a kid in a candy shop\" but it\'s the one that always comes to mind.
