ABOUT GREG DOUCET
Relying on 7+ years of engineering experience, I bring a strong technical understanding of electromagnetic, mechatronic, and thermal systems that was mainly acquired during years of motor & actuator design, testing & analysis. Much of my engineering career has allowed me to gain hands-on experience designing; assembling; testing; troubleshooting; and analyzing data from electric motors. I have acted in technical leadership positions in both R&D and product development environments, while also spending some time as an assembly technician & test engineer. It was these roles that allowed me to develop a strong understanding of electric machine design, GD & T, DFM, Risk Assessment (DFMEAs), SCRUM Methodology, and gained experience using SolidWorks, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access), ANSYS, SKF SimPro Quick & MotorCAD. I am a proud graduate of Memorial University\'s Mechanical Engineering program, with a focus in Mechatronics (Robotics & Automation). I have a keen interest in using electro-mechanical systems in applications that improve the lives of people locally and across the world, including within health and medicine (prosthetics), renewable energy, and many other engineering fields.
