ABOUT GREG CHESSER
Forty years of fire service practical experience and training with last 25 years in management positions. I’ve obtained all certifications to serve at every level of management in the fire service. Served 9 years as adjunct instructor for Laramie County Community College for the Associates Degree-Fire Science Program. I also serve as a peer assessor and compliance report reviewer for CFAI.Served three years as an adjunct instructor for Texas A&M (TEEX) conducting 20+ classes teaching fire officer level courses to 200+ fire fighters. I served five years as Wyoming Hazardous Materials Instructor where I assisted in the development of the State of Wyoming hazardous materials training program. I co-wrote the awareness and operations level lesson plans and course curriculum and edited the incident command level lesson plan and course curriculum. I had over 200 hours certifying over 150 personnel at various Hazmat levels. I served as a member of the IFSTA Technical Writing Team developing the IFSTA Occupational Health and Safety manual and served on the NFPA Committee for developing the new NFPA Standard 1730, Standard for Fire Prevention Organization and Deployment, and NFPA Standard 1300, Standard on Community Risk Assessment and Community Risk Reduction Plan Development.
