Computer scientist, focusing on Artificial Intelligence and statistical methods. Agile software executive and architect. Led agile transformations and ongoing activities in several companies, focusing on organizational productivity, quality, scalability, and innovation. I\'ve often led product, software engineering, operations, and user experience departments. I have helped employees and friends develop their effectiveness and careers (and I\'m grateful that many former employees remain good friends). Of course, this promotes company success. I co-founded three startups, bringing two to financial liquidity in executive roles. I have published peer-reviewed computer science research on agile management, machine learning, parallelism and hardware architecture. I am fluent in TypeScript/JavaScript ES6, React/Remix, Python, MongoDB, Java, C++, SQL, and many other languages. I hold a computer science PhD from UCLA (statistics, parallelism, and optimization). I co-founded a couple of startups focusing on collaborative filtering (leveraging similarities between people and things to help everyone).

   I train and coach executives, managers and individual contributors to sustainably adopt Scrum, Agile and Lean Startup at scale. I publish research to address key challenges in these fields. I have helped transform many software, marketing, product management and finance departments in large and small companies, to become more productive and effective.(This heading includes subcontracting work through other companies.)Client projects* Helped establish a strong product and engineering practice at Adventure Box, which was then able to raise new funding, partly as a result of my efforts. This work evolved from coaching in 2016 through to a full-time role through 2021.* Led Skype\'s international Agile Coaches Team to address company-wide issues: teach Scrum, measuring agility, assembling curricula, training employees, coaching agile teams and managers, defining agile career paths and ensuring agile longevity. I worked in 7 locations in 6 countries: Palo Alto, London, Seattle, Stockholm, Prague, Tallinn, Moscow. The company successfully integrated with Microsoft.* Coached executives, managers and teams at a person consumer products company to use agile for software, hardware and finance. The company accelerated its internet-of-things product development.* Organized 120 data scientists under Scrum for a large online retailer, improving data analysis, statistical analysis, data warehousing and reporting. Analyzed and reported on web traffic, marketing channel, merchandising, pricing and replenishment. Strategic activities were delivered by management scrum teams. Turn-around time for the analytics department improved.* Coached and trained executives and managers at a US/India multinational to transform to agile, Scrum and Lean. Created an internal ScrumMaster, developer and Product Owner training program. The company became self-sufficient in agile coaching.
