As an attorney with Leech Tishman, my practice focuses on closely held family businesses growing into the next generation. This includes guiding families through litigation related to estate planning and trust issues, guardianships, and corporate, fiduciary and tax solutions. I try cases in both Orphans (Probate) Court and U.S. Tax Court to protect family and business assets.As a senior attorney with the Office of Chief Counsel, Internal Revenue Service, I litigated federal tax cases in the United States Tax Court, worked with Assistant U.S. Attorneys and the Department of Justice in federal cases outside of Tax Court in civil and criminal tax cases, and advised revenue agents and revenue officers in exams. I also enjoyed mentoring young attorneys to do the same across divisions.As an associate with the Tax Controversy and Dispute Resolution Services group, a branch of the Washington National Tax unit, I guided KPMG teams through the pandemic to protect against, prepare for, and resolve tax disputes with the IRS LB & I division in unprecedented times in areas such as M&A, R&D credits, and international controversy.The first five years of my practice focused on taking numerous bench and jury trials to verdict in a boutique elder law trial firm. I have been recognized by both Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch and by Super Lawyers: Rising Stars multiple years in a row.In 2025, I was elected to serve on the Elder Law Committee and Probate & Trust Council with the Allegheny County Bar Association. With the Chicago Bar Association, I Co-Chaired the Federal Taxation Committee of the Young Lawyers\' Section and was honored to receive the 20••••22 Rising Star Award for Exceptional Leadership and published with the Chicago Bar Association Record in 2022. As part of the ACBA YLD, I served as the Membership Services Committee Co-Chair and developed programs that won two national recognition awards in as many years from the American Bar Association. I also had the privilege to serve as an associate editor for its award-winning publication committee.I earned J.D. certificates in advanced studies for both civil litigation and tax law. I also served as a senior news writer for the webby-award winning JURIST legal news publication, served as president of the largest student body organization, a charity called PLISF, and was honored with awards for both distinguished public service and community leadership by Pitt Law. Prior to earning my J.D, I proudly served in Americorps as an inner-city school teacher with Teach For America and Jumpstart.
