About Grayson Saunders

At the beginning of my teenage years, I was diagnosed with severe scoliosis and underwent my first of 3 spinal fusions. From the first surgery on, I knew I wanted to be in healthcare, at that time thinking I wanted to be a physician. As I shared and cultivated my new career goal, my surgeon and many others allowed me to shadow in the operating room. As an observer, I spent alot of time with the device reps in the OR, and looking back now, I realize the amount of knowledge they held and the impact they had in those cases were instrumental in the outcomes of the patients. I also was so fascinated with the power of medical devices to allow patients to get back to their lives and improve their wellbeing. As I got older and continued pursuing medicine, I got to experience various non-clinical healthcare roles. At my most recent job, I worked with all types of providers in all types of specialities to help solve the problems they were facing with home-monitoring/telehealth/care navigation & coordination of their chronic patients and found so much fulfillment in building relationships with my customers, learning their problems, and working togeether to provide them with solutions that solved their problems and make a lasting impact on their clinical processes\' and indirectly improving pattient outcomes and experiences. While I don\'t doubt I would get to use those same skills as a physician, I love getting to be an expert on our products & services and being the first person our client calls with any questions or needs. My dream career now is to get to combine my relationship skills, problem solving, and product expertise (just to name a few) to solve the needs of customers by spreading life-changing medical products that provide the biggest and best impact on patients lives. As someone who has experienced the benefit of medical devices first hand, I will wake up everyday ready to go above and beyond to guarantee the best outcome for patients, just like the device reps did for me.
