Founder and CEO of Nuvyyo which brought Jetstream – a personal media cloud hardware device – to market in 2011. While Jetstream received excellent reviews from early adopters and tech media, the team realized that building a consumer brand would require more resources than the boostrapped company could support. In 2012, Nuvyyo pivoted to focus on the burgeoning cord cutting market to create Tablo, an Over-the-Air (OTA) DVR for HDTV antennas. With Tablo, consumers can browse, record, and stream live and recorded HDTV programs on any device (tablets, smartphones, computers, laptops and televisions) anytime, anywhere in the world — without the expense or commitment of cable or satellite contracts. Tablo is the first product to combine the functionality of a DVR and the convenience of beautiful apps on all of your favorite mobile and media streaming devices. Company successes: • Raised $4M series A round of financing from Celtic House Venture Partners • Nuvyyo named by Forbes as one of 10 companies changing the TV industry • Provided the product vision and definition for Tablo’s two hardware variants and associated apps on eight different platforms including iOS and Android. • Launched the Tablo product at CES 2013. The product has since received positive reviews from CNET, Wired, Engadget, TechHive, PCWorld, Maxim, DigitalTrends USA Today and more. • Awarded ‘best of show’ from TV Technology at the National Association of Broadcasters event in 2015. • 2016 Named as Deliotte Fast 50 Company to watch. • 2017 Recognized as one of Ottawa\'s fastest growing companies • Bestbuy slects Tablo for placement in all USA Stores • Variety selects Tablo as part of Best of CES 2019: 5 Innovations That Stole the Show • 2020 $6M Series B round with participation from Celtic House and EDC. • 2022 Acquired by E.W Scripps.
