ABOUT GRANT GUNDERSON
From towering Swiss peaks and the deep culture of Japow to his Mt Baker home turf, Grant Gunderson’s iconic images have captured the pure action and true essence of skiing, biking, travel and adventure. A founding editor of The Ski Journal, Grant served as the publication’s photo editor for six years. He’s shot for nearly every major ski, bike and outdoor publication globally including Outside, ESPN, Skiing, Backcountry, Bike, Freehub, Kootenay Mountain Culture, Ski Canada, and Powder Magazine, where he served as senior photographer for a decade. His powerful brand and product images have defined successful campaigns, launches, catalogs, collateral and identities. One of the industry’s most dedicated, passionate and professionally organized photographers, Grant prides himself on documenting mountain culture and mountain lifestyle in addition to capturing the action. A featured social media contributor for National Geographic Adventure, Grant has twice been selected for the prestigious Olympus Pro Photographer’s Showdown and his images have appeared in every Red Bull Illume contest since its inception. His work has landed on more than 200 magazine covers and hangs framed on the walls of hundreds of ski houses and mountain cabins. When he’s not circling the globe in search of deep snow, perfect dirt or good light, you will find him lapping his local Galbraith Mountain trails, tinkering in his shop or teaching his son how to stick the landing.\"One look through Grant Gunderson\'s portfolio and you can clearly see his passion for the outdoors and creating unique, inspiring photography. Grant\'s technical knowledge is evident with clean lighting and crisp subjects and his skill directing athletes shows in the composition of his final images. Grant’s attention to detail doesn\'t stop when he puts down the camera. Every submission he sends in is neatly edited and labeled so there\'s no guesswork left to his client. Talent aside, Grant’s enthusiastic nature makes him a pleasure to work with.\" — Keri Bascetta, Ski Magazine
