Etive are a Civil and Structural Engineering Consultancy, based in Edinburgh. We are focussed on delivering a personalised service to our Clients who are mainly private sector based. Anyone can design the basic \"beams and columns\", and that\'s an important role. But if an engineer can do that whilst thinking more broadly about the development process as a whole, an important role becomes one that can also deliver value. This is the ethos behind Etive.

ABOUT GRANT SIMPSON
A Chartered Engineer with over 25 years experience in consultancy, I have been engaged in the design of a variety of engineering projects during what has been an eventful career. Mainly I have focused on building structures and been involved in student accommodation, education, hotels, mainstream residential, science and commercial property projects. Founded Etive Consulting Engineers Limited with Hamish Martineau in 2013. From two friends sitting in an attic in Edinburgh’s George Street with a phone and a computer each, we are rather proud of what we have achieved together. The journey continues and I’m not finished yet.
