About Grant McCurdy
I believe the best teaching combines strong traditional instruction with thoughtful use of modern tools. The strongest classrooms are both intellectually serious and genuinely joyful.After graduating from UCLA, I joined the founding team of a Christian international school in China. During COVID, I partnered with a Christian international school to design AP STEM remote curriculum, deepening my interest in curriculum systems, instructional design, and educational technology.I now serve as Math Department Head at Pacifica Christian High School in Santa Monica, where I teach upper-level mathematics, mentor and help develop new teachers, and lead work around curriculum, assessment, and instructional coherence. I am also pursuing an M.S. in Statistics at Cal State Fullerton.
