About Grant Hilbert
I have now shifted to work towards electrifying freight transportation within Paccar\'s Zero Emission Powertrain group. Working with the Department of Energy, I am a part of the team working on developing an electric, long haul, prototype semi truck: the SuperTruck3. The goal of this program is to show what the future of the BEV trucking industry can be, with many of the concepts within the truck eventually making it into production trucks, sold under the Peterbilt, Kenworth, and DAF nameplates. Paccar already sells several BEV heavy and medium duty trucks on the market today, and this project looks to move those models towards longer range, higher adoption, and a lower total cost of ownership.
