ABOUT GRANT GOODES

I have been working in Application Security spanning more than 15 years in increasingly more senior roles. I began this phase of my career when I was Hired by Cloakware as a Transcoder developer, and worked as the architect of the Whitebox Cryptography tool-chain, and then led the development of the kernel-based Android Secure Platform technology. I then took a position at Arxan where I developed their Next-gen Whitebox product and was promoted to Principle Engineer in the office of the CTO. I returned to Irdeto in my current role as the Principle Architect for the Cloakware Software Protection (CSP) technology, including Software and Data Transformation, Binary Protection and Whitebox Cryptography. Subsequently, I joined Guardsquare as Chief Scientist, where I was responsible for defining the future direction of their Mobile Application security solutions.Late in 2022, I took up a position as Innovation Architect at Zimperium, and I am responsible for defining the technology & product direction of our Mobile Application Protection Suite (MAPS), leveraging my extensive experience in all aspects of Mobile Security to evolve a seamless Mobile Security Platform experience, incorporating vulnerability scanning (zScan), key-protection (zKeyBox), code-protection (zShield) and realtime threat detection (zDefend). My other experience includes stints as a Java VM developer at IBM, lead onboard software-engineer for Denmark\'s Ørsted scientific satellite mission, and compiler-developer on Europe\'s first Ada compiler. I am author more than a dozen software security patents, and did my undergrad at University of Waterloo and Master’s degree at University of Toronto.
