Administer the employee benefits program including medical, dental, disability, life and supplemental insurances, IMRF, Sec. 125 Plan, and direct deposit. Coordinate enrollment/termination of all eligible employees, and educate employees on each of the plans.• Answer routine questions from employees and applicants about employment procedures and policies. • Process all general liability, property, and workers\' compensation claims with PDRMA and prepare related reports.• Perform routine recurring functions, such as posting jobs internally and externally; and screening job applicants as needed. • Process the submission of personnel information to NCSI for criminal background checks on all employees and oversee other pertinent personnel-employment documentation, including I-9 forms, New Hire Reporting, and criminal background checks.• Maintain all personnel records in accordance with state statutes and District policies and procedures for active and terminated employees. • Retain all submitted applications in accordance with state/federal record retention requirements.• Complete financial analysis for Open Enrollment each year, review with Director of Finance/HR and Executive Director.• Facilitate Open Enrollment meeting with all benefit eligible staff with Director of Finance/HR and Executive Director.• Serve as District’s Health Benefits Coordinator and Wellness contact for PDRMA.• Update annually all federal, state and local employment labor/safety and Right to Know posters in District facilities. • Assist with annual compliance reporting, budgeting and other selected reporting as assigned. • Coordinate selected training programs for District employees and maintain tracking log of required compliance training and certifications for District employees.
