Responsible for mechanical design and analysis of complex opto-mechanical and electromechanical products from concept through to production.• Extract design requirements from customer specification documents, producing compliance matrixes and design constraints and criteria.• Utilize engineering knowledge in machining, casting, sheet metal, and injection molding manufacturing techniques and processes for creating the most cost efficient and practical design. • Utilize engineering theory in material science or material selection on the analysis of strength, thermal, optical and electrical properties.• Verify mechanical designs with calculations and FEA software for static and dynamics, vibration and nodal studies, and thermal analysis.• Develop and execute testing for design validation and de-risking, developing summary of findings and reports. • Serve as technical expert and subject matter expert for Mechanical Design whilst working in a complex team. Produce technical slides and reports for presentation to internal stakeholders and externally facing to customers.
