Grant Buster is data scientist in the Strategic Energy Analysis Center at NREL. His current research focuses on how we can build climate resilience by uniting climate science, energy systems research, and generative machine learning. Grant has led development of the National Solar Radiation Database (NSRDB), the Renewable Energy Potential Model (reV), and the Super-Resolution for Renewable Energy Resource Data (sup3r) software. Grant contributed to several flagship renewable energy integration studies such as the North American Renewable Integration Study (NARIS) and the National Transmission Planning Study (NTPS), and he now leads the PACES project: Power Planning for Alignment of Climate and Energy Systems.
