ABOUT GRAINNE WALTERS

I advise on all corporate and commercial legal aspects throughout the lifecycle of a business from its incorporation, development and expansion right through to a successful exit. For example- Corporate Structure - I help with corporate structuring in the initial stages of a company’s incorporation, including shareholders’ agreements, share reorganisation and ownership structure. If you’re in partnership with another, this is extremely important to avoid disputes later on- Commercial Contracts - As the business of the company grows, I draft and advise on terms and conditions of business, services/goods agreements, supply and distribution contracts, data protection and safeguarding confidential information- Finance – Often, a company will need further finance from banks or other finance providers, including investors, friends and family. I work with companies, or indeed investors, on the contractual documentation, including loan agreements, debentures, guarantees and other security documents- Expansion – I advise clients on the expansion of their business via acquisitions, mergers or joint ventures- Exit – Ideally, the hard work involved in growing a business is not in vain and a successful exit is achieved. I support sellers on their exit, whether this is via share sale, asset sale, management buy-out or share buyback.
