ABOUT GRAHAM SHAMBARGER

I’m a Quantitative Finance student at the Stevens Institute of Technology, originally from Manchester, New Hampshire. My love for finance started in the backseat of my mom’s car, listening to Marketplace and The Indicator. Mundane things like the price of gas could be explained in the context of global conflicts and political turbulence. Hearing about how these events affected my parents\' lives was just mind-boggling to 8-year-old meBut my true interest in finance and economics truly hit when my mom shared a news story about a private equity firm using an employee stock ownership plan (ESOP) to support a small business. It wasn’t just finance for profit, it was finance that empowered families to send kids to college, take vacations, and feel financially secure. That moment along with my experiences in fencing and orchestra in high school inspired me to pursue finance as a means of helping in college. At Stevens, I’m honing my technical skills in data analysis, and understanding the markets with the goal of building a career focused on impact investing, sustainable finance, and employee ownership structures. I\'m especially passionate about aligning financial innovation with positive social outcomes. As a student-athlete on the fencing team, I bring discipline, strategy, and a strong work ethic to everything I do whether it\'s on the strip or in the classroom. Balancing a rigorous academic schedule with athletic training has also taught me how to stay sharp under pressure and manage my time. I’m always looking to connect with like-minded individuals who believe finance can generate more than returns.
