I have a decade of experience as an operational leader and individual contributor in consumer products, working with over a dozen brands on strategy, operations, product, supply chain, logistics, customer support, planning, and analysis. I leverage my breadth of experience to fill gaps and drive progress toward critical goals and milestones.I develop and implement plans for success including COGS turnarounds resulting in gross margin improvements, optimized working capital budgets and inventory turns, enhanced planning tools, beating P&L and budget targets, and improving cross-functional processes and collaboration.I was formerly Vice President of Operations at Spark Grills, a venture-backed DTC startup on a mission to reimagine the charcoal grilling experience and innovate in a space that had remained stagnant for decades. Prior to that role, I served as VP of Operations at LifePrint, a startup that brought photos to life with its portable printer hardware and augmented reality app, a top-selling accessory in Apple retail stores worldwide. I was a Director of Business Development at Channel Pacific, driving sales and marketing efforts for early-stage brands. I also held positions as Operations Manager at Carbon Audio, a wireless audio products startup, and The Original Baby, a design forward baby products startup. I began my post-graduate career at KBR where I spent two years overseas managing cost accounting and forecasting requirements for a multibillion-dollar contract with the U.S. Government. During the second year of my MBA education I received the Center for Entrepreneurship Graduate Teaching Fellowship. I formed a tech-transfer MRI startup in the new venture pathways program and competed in business plan competitions at Carnegie Mellon, University of Cincinnati, and Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. I also served as an Associate Board Member on the Oregon Community Credit Union Board of Directors, in a position created to provide a different perspective from other Board Members.I seek out any alternative to throwing useful things away in the trash. I backpacked over 60 miles in through the jaw dropping Torres del Paine National Park in Chilean Patagonia, set foot in 45 countries so far, toss disc or hop on a bike in fair weather and snowboard otherwise, love bird watching, am a proud fan of Rose City FC Timbers and Thorns, and am a self-proclaimed cicerone. I am grateful for my wife and two children, who inspire me to put my best self forward every day.

   I coordinated a wide variety activities across departments and teams, supporting the Founder/CEO. I was also in charge of special projects. My first project was standing up customer support ahead of shipping to customers, creating processes to ensure seamless delivery to customers, enabling information exchange between CS and Fulfillment, and ensuring visibility for appropriate tracking by Finance. I contributed to CX development efforts including a focus on the customer journey in conjunction with Marketing, and assisted in recruiting efforts across the organization.
