Impact focussed programme leadership role within the Met Office with oversight for the design and delivery of the FCDO funded WISER programmes and responsibilities for working to shape and improve our culture, inclusiveness and effectiveness as well as high impact, strategic delivery.WISER works in step with our local, in-region and international partners to strengthen decision making and build resilience to the impacts of climate change with co-produced weather and climate projects in Africa, Asia Pacific and MENA and I travel regularly to work with organisations and communities, strengthen projects, build capacity, and drive change. At the macro level I set direction, oversee financial and risk management across the portfolio, improve due diligence processes, compliance and monitoring, evaluation and learning.

ABOUT GRAHAM BANTON
For as long as I can remember I have loved being in nature - exploring forests, diving in the ocean, tramping in the countryside. Over the years my experience has developed, and so has my perspective and understanding. I am now in the proud and fortunate position to be able to say that protecting these critically important natural resources is not only my passion, it is my profession.I have worked and progressed within the private, voluntary and public sectors and my roles have been fantastically varied. From curating and leading demanding aquariums; to hands on international project coordination and data collection; to advising on environmental policy and managing natural climate solution programmes.These positions have given me an integrated and developed set of skills that I now utilise in through my international environmental protection and sustainable development work. I am confident with project and financial management, leadership, communication, and strategy; but am always looking to expand my horizons, add to my expertise and take on the next challenge.
