ABOUT GRAHAM SPICKETT-JONES
With over two decades of experience as an academic in UK and US universities, my career has supported vocational education for marketing and management students, and consultancy work for industry partners and media companies. I have a specialist interest in strategic marketing campaigns, promotional practice and business development. My academic research has focused on marketing communication, media roles and integrated promotional campaigns, building on industrial experience in brand building and leadership roles in entrepreneurial environments. I have published in academic journals, trade journals and produced thought-leadership and campaign analysis published in academic textbooks.I have held management roles in industry as well as in teaching-led and research-focused universities. My career has sought to balance curriculum development, consultancy and knowledge transfer partnerships with industry, alongside administrative roles, teaching, mentoring, quality assurance and research activities. My academic responsibilities have included leadership roles in academic faculties with undergraduate and postgraduate level awards, including programmes taught in the UK and in overseas markets. I have held roles as the lead academic in several London based satellite campuses for major universities, and led student recruitment for large UK business schools. This has included international student recruitment, including managing institutional partnerships and agency networks.
