ABOUT GRAHAM SMITH

Cities are defined by their citizens, commerce and culture. When we remember to plan for people, the places created and the interactions that occur create strong communities. I approach planning and design at the urban scale, with a keen understanding of how public space and private development work together to build place. As the leader of our City Design practice, I spearhead a variety of urban design projects throughout the Midwest, manage the integration with our other design studios and extended City Design\'s reach to collaborations in our other locations and across the country. Community engagement provide the platform to build confidence and consensus around planning initiatives creating enduring communities.
