Here I’m responsible for collating the morning news alert for life and health insurance news website Health & Protection.I try and ensure the alert is led by a story, feature, analysis or content that cannot be read elsewhere.I’ve been known to break the odd exclusive, contribute monthly analyses featuring interviews from professionals across the sector and attend and cover industry events and conferences.I was also once the actual subject of a story on the site when I won Protection Review’s Protection Journalist of the Year in 2023. I was also shortlisted in 2025, 2024, 2022 and 2021 and was a finalist in the same category at Headline Money Awards 2023 and 2024. I was a judge for the Headline Money Awards 2025.I was responsible for developing the title’s Introducing column showcasing new talent in the sector as well as June Pride columns celebrating LGBTQ+ talent in the sector dating back to 2021.I also managed to secure protection adviser and Apprentice star, Raj Chohan, for the title’s first Protection Conference.
