ABOUT GRAHAM PROWSE

I have been employed with Spark (formerly Telecom NZ) for just over 17 years, starting as a Principal Solution Architect, and for the last 11 years as a DevOps manager focused predominately solutioning systems in the Service Assurance and Tooling space. For over 12 years prior to this I have provided independent network and systems consultancy services (through my former company Frontier Internetworking Ltd), specializing in applications, data networking and communications technology. I have extensive experience in the New Zealand Telecommunications industry with a broad knowledge of Telecom information technology systems (BSS/OSS) and networking architectures. I have experience in consultation with Customers at all levels and provide high level knowledge and experience in open systems covering a multiple of disciplines including- Service provider / carrier disciplines - Service and Network Management best practices including ITIL processes - Developing and delivering solution architectures - Dealing with complex systems (OSS) design and integration - Distributed network and systems management & performance reporting tools - An ability to describe and model systems using common modelling languages such as UML - An ability to provide a solution overview across a project / programme in a clear and concise manner - The ability to communicate a solution design to a variety of stakeholders from the development team to the end user - The leadership and decision making skills to drive the technical design within a project or programme team - The ability to understand business and process requirements, how they are translated into solutions - A clear understanding of the various architectural view points and perspectives - An understanding of design patterns as they apply to n-tier systems including the challenges of solutioning within complex multi-system environments - A passion for technology and the latest industry trends
