I specialise in P&C insurance and provide consulting advice to insurers and reinsurers on a wide range of actuarial services including reserving, business planning, acquisition, market reporting and commutations issues. My experience includes reserving and auditing a diverse range of business written by London Market companies and large multinational insurers. I specialise in the estimation of latent claim liabilities. I also have extensive experience of the general insurance run-off market and regularly advise companies on potential strategies to realise value from run-off portfolios. I have also advised clients on the reserve adequacy, potential future profitability, related uncertainty and capital implications associated with the proposed acquisition of run-off and live insurance portfolios. I have supported multinational insurers with the implementation of IFRS17 and Sarbanes-Oxley control frameworks. I regularly present at conferences, most recently on subjects including current issues surrounding latent claims and the potential impact of IFRS17 on general insurers. Away from work, I am married to a milliner, I am a fan of all sports and in particular, I am an avid follower of the England Cricket Team.
