About Graham Herbst

After working in the private sector as a plant health care technician, I moved to the Nebraska Forest Service in 2011 to promote proactive urban forest management across Eastern Nebraska and help train the next generation of arborists. I serve over 200 communities with grants, training, inventories, workshops, ordinance review, and many other fun activities that connect Nebraskans with the trees that beautify and benefit those who live among them. I have served the Midwest Chapter of ISA since 2014 and will complete my term as Past President in 2025. During my tenure with MWISA, I have been involved in hiring a new Executive Director, implementing a 5-year organizational plan, assisted in annual conference planning, written newsletter columns, and represented our industry across the nation. I\'m a father, husband, casual backyard farmer, and tree grower. I love music and collect records but don\'t want your favorite song stuck in my head. I support the artists and content creators that I enjoy. I love to cook for friends and family, particularly when I can expose someone to a new ingredient or flavor. Cheers! GH
