In our modernising world, change is inevitable! For the first time in the history of our planet: 2016 saw the top five companies in the world all come from a technology sector. In 1994 Amazon was born selling books on the Internet and look where they are today? 2016 therefore saw our global economy transform from an oil led economy to a digital led economy and for 30+ years I have embraced and change my focus, in a bid to not only stay ahead of the competition but help my clients (and their clients) deliver digital solutions that supports the ongoing modernisation of their service in a bid to not just keep up but stay ahead! I first met the guys at SP Marketplace in 2015 during a digital transformation assignment at Stirling Council. I was blown away with their extremely simple, yet effective SharePoint business portals that leveraged Microsoft’s 365 platform, using low cost templates and workflows to drive business transformation. With over 1,400 customers worldwide, SP Marketplace was looking to expand their business from its home in Penn Valley (Northern California) and establish another base in the European time zone, serving customers from Ireland to the Middle East and Norway to South Africa. Add this to the worldwide explosion or Microsoft 365 and the desire for every 365 customer to get more from Microsoft’s cloud platform, I believe that SP Marketplace is the next natural extension to support my goal to help businesses and government not just modernise but deliver better services to their customers and citizens.
