ABOUT GRAEME PREST
My career has been dedicated to leading multi-disciplinary teams and working in partnership to deliver a wide range of benefits. This has been based on sustainable forest and land management in the Highlands and North West England, and more recently across Scotland in my national role as Director of Land Management and Regions for Forestry and Land Scotland. I have been fortunate to be involved in a diverse range of partnership programmes and projects. To give a flavour, these have included Cairngorms Connect, the biggest habitat restoration project in Britain, major visitor centre re-developments in the Lake District, supporting community development in the Highlands and the creation of new community woodlands on brownfield land in Manchester and Liverpool. These and other opportunities have helped develop my skills in leadership, strategic and business planning, team and organisational development, budget management, programme and project management, facilitation and partnership working, commercial and other revenue generation and change management. My approach is to enthuse, coach and empower people and encourage collaboration.
