I became a nurse to support people when they need it most, which I thought would mean a career in bedside nursing. However, upon noticing the inefficiencies and risks related to paper-based hospital systems, I felt I could more significantly impact patients and staff by streamlining processes through technology implementation and adoption.In 2019, I led the clinical implementation of Epic EHR at Boulder Community Health in half the average time to manage costs and facilitate data visualization. Now, my team works to optimize the end-user experience, allowing clinicians to spend less time tinkering with technology and more time caring for patients.My favorite parts of my job include: Creating connections with clinicians and partnering to help them be more efficient. Using technology to accelerate patients’ journeys toward health.
