ABOUT GRACE MAGNY-FOKAM
Grace Magny-Fokam is an artificial intelligence researcher and award-winning climate technologist dedicated to leveraging AI for environmental resilience. She is the founder and executive director of Folia Technologies, a youth-led nonprofit research institute that empowers young innovators to develop artificial intelligence technologies that address the climate crisis. Recognized as a CSTA Computer Science Hero and the youngest-ever UNCCD Land Hero, Grace has led international programs supporting emerging technologists from BIPOC, low-income, and other marginalized communities. Her work has been featured at the United Nations, the U.S. Dept of Agriculture, MIT, and Girls Who Code, where she has shared insights on clean technology, AI for good, and youth leadership. A self-taught programmer and first-generation college student, Grace has won over $1 million in scholarships and has mentored hundreds of young people globally to use ethical innovation to advance environmental justice and systemic change.
