About Grace Duffy

I believe policy should be shaped by the voices of those most affected, and I work every day to ensure those voices are not only heard but lead the way. Whether I’m speaking in front of a packed auditorium or at a small committee hearing, I carry with me the same core values of compassion of justice that inspired me to begin my health advocacy journey at age eleven. Those early experiences taught me the power of persistence, the importance of bringing humanity into policymaking, and to never underestimate yourself or anyone else. From testifying at the Rhode Island State House myself to training others to become confident and effective advocates, I am committed to helping people use their stories as tools for policy change. I believe advocacy is most powerful when it\'s personal, and I’m proud to help others turn lived experience into legislative action.⏰ Right now, I’m leading efforts to ensure that access is never an afterthought in housing design. I’m also supporting disability service providers as they navigate evolving federal policies, working to protect the lifesaving and life-changing Medicaid services that so many Rhode Islanders depend on.
