About Grace Robertson

I am a May 2024 graduate of Georgia College & State University, finishing out my bachelor\'s degree in mass communication, with a minor in marketing. I previously completed an associate of arts degree at Gordon State College in May 2022. My experience was unique due to my dual enrollment status, which led me to earn my associate\'s nine days before I received my diploma. During my time at GCSU, I worked as a marketing team member in the political science department, where I created content and graphic design for the program\'s social media and marketing materials. After graduation, I completed an internship with McAbee Media, where I created content for local digital publication that introduces visitors and citizens about neighborhood developments, leaders, and opportunities. I learned InDesign to construct the publication and interviewed experts and community leaders for data and information. As a marketing team member, I worked with a team of faculty and students to increase the visibility and awareness of the political science program. I researched, wrote, and edited engaging and informative posts, flyers, and newsletters, using various tools and platforms, such as Canva. I also applied my skills in press releases, communication, and cooperation. I was previously a staff writer for the Colonnade Newspaper, where I was able to interview and discuss arts & life and traditional news. I interviewed and collaborated with professors, alumni, and community leaders to learn more about the differing opinions and experiences of the people of Milledgeville. I am passionate about writing, above all, with an eagerness to learn from and contribute to a dynamic and innovative organization that values creativity, collaboration, and social responsibility.
