   In her role as the Tacoma Local Engagement Lead, Grace is responsible for:• Developing internal communications to convey information around organizational changes, corporate/office culture and people and projects. • Providing input on physical office needs, representing all business line interests. • Providing overall direction on WSP’s real-estate program in the metropolitan area.• Maintaining involvement with and regularly communicating all business-line capabilities, growth objectives and strategic clients in the Tacoma area.• Integrating cross-business lines activities in the local market/metropolitan area.• Collaborating with nearby offices including Seattle, Redmond, and Vancouver to ensure coordination among local offices.Grace led the office during the back-to-office transition post-pandemic and oversaw the office move from a suburban area to downtown Tacoma. She led the office through significant changes including a move to agile, shared workspace.In her role as a Senior Scientist and Diver, Grace regularly performs underwater benthic habitat surveys and develops deliverables for environmental compliance, mitigation, port operations, and in-water permitting. She has a strong background in construction support and working alongside engineers to minimize project impacts to the aquatic environment. Grace\'s experience includes environmental permitting and mitigation for waterfront projects, conducting acoustic and dive surveys of marine habitat, and providing environmental documentation for various projects in the private and public sectors in the Pacific Northwest region, nationally, and internationally. Grace provides deliverables for construction projects occurring in sensitive wetland and marine areas for the US Navy, Port clients and private port tenants.
