About Grace McCarthy
I am a dedicated health scientist passionate about health care equity, science communication, and advocating for diverse, equitable, and safe research environments. I have experience with initiating community-led strategies to improve health equity. I received my PhD in Cancer Biology from OHSU studying pancreatic cancer biology under Dr. Jonathan Brody. My research involves investigating an RNA binding protein vital for pancreatic cancer progression and determining how it plays a role in cellular crosstalk and treatment response. Additionally, I was sponsored by Code Biotherapeutics to conduct research on a novel nanocarrier treatment for pancreatic cancer.
