ABOUT GRACE NGUYEN
Psychological Science major and Medical Anthropology minor student with a strong interest in clinical psychology and research focused on neurodevelopmental disorders and severe mental illnesses. I am currently working toward my long-term goal of earning a PhD in Clinical Psychology, with the aim of contributing to evidence-based research and clinical care for at-risk populations. My passion for mental health stems from growing up alongside two siblings with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), an experience that shaped my understanding of neurodiversity, stigma, and the importance of compassionate, informed care. Witnessing the challenges faced by individuals with ASD, and later supporting a sibling diagnosed with comorbid Bipolar Disorder with psychotic features motivated my commitment to pursuing a career dedicated to improving mental health outcomes for individuals and their families. I am particularly interested in research and clinical work addressing ASD, bipolar disorder, psychosis, and family-centered interventions. Through my research experience, and community engagement, I hope to help reduce stigma, advance treatment practices, and expand access to effective mental health support. Aside from my formal education, I also love to sing, practice martial arts, listen to psychology podcasts, and I have a matcha bar at home that I am constantly expanding.
