ABOUT GRACE HOUDEK
Hi! I\'m Grace Houdek, and I\'m a Content Strategist at Rush University in Chicago, IL. After graduating from the University of Wisconsin-Madison\'s School of Journalism and Mass Communications, I pursued my childhood dream of working in the news industry. I began my professional career at WKOW 27 News, the ABC affiliate in Madison, WI, as a Multimedia Journalist (MMJ). A little over one year later, I became the Statewide Weekend Evening Anchor and Producer.In May 2025, I was awarded first place in Best Live On Scene Reporting at the Wisconsin Broadcasters Association. May 2025 was also my last day in the news industry. I took a leap of faith, and I embarked a new adventure in my home city. Now, I\'m creating internal and external content for Rush University. I\'ve enjoyed highlighting the amazing work being done by student organizations, breaking down complex research and using my news background to guide me through a new communications journey.
