   Validated new AVEVA LP, pricing and model performance after the LP model was rebuilt for the Cenovus transition from BP. Identified and corrected significant issues in model configuration, pricing and model output results. Created new streamlined planning tools to extract data from the LP to give guidance to the product and crude schedulers and translated output for operations to use. Recreated all commercial reports after the transition. Provided daily guidance to operations to achieve plan, identified and direction to close gaps, identified technical issues and requested maintenance work to correct problems causing the refinery to not hit plan. Took over outmonth asset economist responsibilities through the transition and while the LP corrected to ensure the refinery continued to operate, order crude, nominate feedstocks and product volumes on time. Communicated operational issues to supply, marketing and corporate, gave guidance for return to service timing and impacts across the refinery and jumped to action to decide on corrective action for pipeline and crude purchase consequences. Calculated lost profit opportunity for refinery upsets, operating gaps, maintenance priority and TAR planning.
