ABOUT GRACE GIRARD
I am an ambitious junior at the University of Tennessee pursuing a degree in Finance and a Marketing collateral within the Haslam College of Business. Academics have always been important to me even before coming to college. I graduated with highest honors from Cumberland Christian Academy in 2023. Additionally, my part-time job experiences have grown me and equipped me with invaluable skills. Currently, I am a Sales Team Member at Williams Sonoma West Town. Here I have learned what it means to provide excellent customer service, communication, and build professional relationships. Previously I worked for Chick-fil-A Northshore as Training Coordinator. This position was crucial in my development as a leader and problem solver. Through creating training plans and meeting with new hires post-training, I developed critical thinking skills that serve me in my academics and current job. Chick-fil-A rewarded me not only with these skills but also granted me the Remarkable Futures Scholarship in May 2023. Outside of work and academics, I pursue extracurricular activities at the University of Tennessee. I am a member of the University of Tennessee Investment Group (UTIG) and am participating in their “Wolf of Vol Street” stock trading competition where I have gained insight into investing and networked with like-minded finance students and alumni. Additionally, I am a student leader for the campus ministry Volunteers for Christ where I outreach to students who visit us and photograph our meetings and events. My future career interests include advisory, financial planning, and wealth management and I look forward to pursuing opportunities related to these fields.
