About Grace Balkema
Repairing a broken bone, fixing a heart condition or dissecting a tumor. The medical community not only pushes scientific limitations, but safeguards humanity. As a sophomore aspiring to major in Professional Sales, I hope to incorporate both science and business to create an impact in the health of others. I was a board member of an organization called Billy Bear hug dedicated to giving the cure of comfort for critically ill children. From this experience I learned I can use my creativity for success when I assisted in developing new fundraising plans for the organization during COVID. Although this organization was what sparked my interest into the field I desire, a yearbook course has allowed me to go even further in refining my creativity. Through my meticulous manner exhibited when making detailed spreadsheets, I am able to produce solutions that are both innovative and efficient. While these skills are useful, working in a constantly changing environment as a restaurant hostess has expanded my capacity to adapt to change. These skills are what guide my work and I look forward into honing each of them into a challenging and rewarding career.
