Brown University Climate And Development Lab
Feb 2022 — Present
I serve as a research associate on a team examining the role of PUCs and regulatory agencies in New England state plans to address climate action. This project involves background research on each state, stakeholder workshops, and strategy recommendations based on stakeholder input to address climate action at the state and regional level. I help facilitate in-person and virtual workshops with stakeholders in each of the six NE states. I conduct cold-call outreach to invite stakeholders, ranging from PUC representatives to climate justice advocates. I also hold 1:1 follow-up conversations with stakeholders to review workshops and address how our research can be most useful to stakeholders. Currently, I am producing research on gas infrastructure bans in each of the New England states. I also led a research project focused on foundation funding and climate obstruction. Specifically, our team developed a methodology and search engine to identify foundation funders affiliated with climate disinformation. Our research has been presented to a variety of audiences, including legislators, think tanks, non-profits, and President Christina Paxson at Brown.
