About Grace-Ann M.
Towson University is the place where I\'ve earned four years of experience while attaining my Bachelor Degree in Biology. I was privy to be apart of a research team for 8 weeks working in Dr. Hemm\'s laboratory studying and validating short open reading frames in E.coli. During my research tenure of the 8 weeks I used many different pieces of laboratory equipment such as a PCR (polymerase chain reaction), western blot and centrifuge. The lab experience enabled me to qualify for a grant from the National Science Foundation (NSF). This grant was used to present the findings of a new previously unexpressed short open reading frame at the Towson University Research Expo.
