Grace Alvarez (she/her) is the Collegiate Recovery Coordinator at Recovery at Marquette. Her work is rooted in collective care, accountability, and equity, ensuring that policy and organizational decisions reflect the voices of those most impacted. Though originally from rural Pennsylvania, she has lived in Milwaukee since 2018 after committing to study at Marquette University for her undergraduate education. Grace earned her master’s in Educational Policy and Foundations from Marquette University, where she continued her passion for building equitable, sustainable, and community-centered solutions. Grace aims to expand the reach of Recovery at Marquette’s mission through a lens of curiosity and compassion. She is open to growing both herself and the recovery community, fostering a space where everyone feels supported and empowered to thrive. Grace’s hobbies include reading, discovering new (and old) music, doodling, and playing soccer.

My role bridges organizational development and public narrative, ensuring that our message reflects the lived experiences of those we serve.I manage creative and fundraising initiatives including donor relations, campaign design, sponsorship outreach, and impact storytelling, while supporting community-facing programming and events. I collaborate closely with the Executive Director and leadership team to build capacity, align communications with organizational strategy, and cultivate partnerships with local funders, businesses, and media.This role is grounded in autonomy, collective accountability, and creative leadership; honoring the rhythms of the organization while advancing recovery, equity, and community wellness across Milwaukee.
