ABOUT GARETH PULLEN
Dynamic, inquisitive and rigorous; my passion in engineering is to make a significant contribution to industries which benefit everyone. Today I ply my trade in the French civil nuclear industry, a country leading the way in low-carbon energy production. As a bilingual engineer I work to ensure the success of international projects, and lead a multicultural team of experienced engineers which counts as many languages as team-members.Working in France has allowed me a diversity of experience in the nuclear industry and the opportunity to work on some of the most exiting projects globally. These include France’s flagship Flamanville EPR reactor, the experimental Jules Horowitz material test reactor and, closer to home, the Hinkley Point C EPR.Outside of work I enjoy sport and charity work. I once organised and participated in a 1500km bike ride from Birmingham to Bilbao in aid of the Multiple Sclerosis Society and have also been fortunate enough to teach English to young Buddhist monks in Laos.
