About Amit Goyal
I am currently Head of Section for Hydrogen, Low Carbon Fuels and CCUS, North America at DNV leading a team of subject matter experts. Specializing in Hydrogen production, and its conversion to derivatives. I have broad experience covering all process design activities in the areas of fuels, petrochemicals and biochemicals/fuels. Prior to DNV I was Director of Technology (Hydrogen) at Modern Electron (now Modern Hydrogen), a Bill Gates backed start up, working on methane pyrolysis for distributed production of hydrogen. Before that at Southern Research Institute as Director of Sustainable Chemistry and Catalysis worked on various XTL (Anything to Liquids) projects and a first of kind renewable acrylonitrile production technology. As part of my current duties at DNV, my team develops green and blue hydrogen, methanol, SAF, synthetic methane, ammonia, RNG, Biofuels and CCUS solutions for our clients. We are experienced in fuel supply/demand market studies, capital project feasibility studies, strategic planning, technology/business roadmaps, mitigation planning, process engineering, technoeconomic and life cycle analysis and new technology evaluation. My research ideas have generated >$40 million in federal funding, 20 patents/applications and few licensed technologies.
