I am part of Microsoft Purview, Data Lifecycle Management (DLM) team. We own a time-based Assistant called ELC, which runs on every Enterprise (E3/E5) mailbox once in every three days. It manages the retention, deletion and archiving of mailbox data. At a broader level, in every three days, we archive around 116.6 billion items (equivalent to 3.56 petabytes of email data) and delete around 30.6 billion mail items (equivalent to 0.91 petabytes of data) globally.
