About Gouri Rinwa

I am a highly driven and passionate individual with an interest in solving problems through optimization, analytics, and evaluating data and information to draw suitable conclusions and results to aid in optimizing systems and providing better business solutions. I have completed my undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering from Mumbai, India and currently I am enrolled as a graduate student pursuing a dual degree in Operations Research and Quantitative Computational Finance at Georgia Tech.With the knowledge received from the degrees that I have pursued and through other internship experiences I have developed and thus possess the following skills-Analytical Skills: I have interned at UPS Capital as a data science and business intelligence analyst intern where one of my primary role was to perform Exploratory Data Analysis on the provided data and draw inferences from it and observe and report unknown relations between the quantities of claim amounts and addresses along with the product shipped. I used the scikit-learn library to achieve this objective. Quantitative Skills: Based on my previous internship experience, I have worked on developing and deploying machine learning models and I have specifically worked on classification, regression and boosting algorithms in the past. These experiences have ultimately helped me shape my quantitative acumen. Besides that I have also worked on multiple projects at Tech which have involved the utilization of Python and R. Working on these projects I have learnt how to interpret statistical information and this knowledge has helped me to perform hypothesis testing, and obtain its significance.Leadership Skills: In the previous semesters, I have been an active part of the Graduate Student Government Association at Tech where I represented the Industrial and Systems Engineering Department. Alongside I have worked as a Graduate Assistant for the ISYE CASE Tutoring center for the course ISYE 3232: Stochastic Manufacturing and Service Systems and in Fall 2023, I worked as a Tutor Manager for the CASE Tutoring centre where I interacted with the tutors and the students to ensure smooth functioning of the tutoring centre.Apart from the skills mentioned above I also possess skills in data analysis, quantitative analysis and through working on different projects I have developed management and communication skills.
